What will we explore at the training course?
- Hate speech and its various forms.
- Specific targets and forms of hate speech targeting ppl because of their sex or gender, gender identity or sexual preferences.
- Links between gender stereotypes, sexism and hate speech.
- Feminist and LGBT+ movements in history and today.
- Practical tools and strategies - advocacy, resilience, monitoring and elimination of sexist hate speech in youth work.
The raining is designed for youth workers or youth leaders (18+) who would like to:
- create safe space for everyone in their youth work activities
- support young people who experience sexist hate speech
- prevent sexist hate speech and join global movement for gender equality
- are ready to devote some time before the training to preparation.
Venue:
The training will take place in Bosnice in the middle of Slovakia (2 hours from Bratislava). It is a local favourite holiday spot with its magical Bojnice castle, Zoo or a swimming pool you might want to visit during our free time. The Venue is near "Bojnický zámok" - Bojnice castle and near the Zoo.
Participants will be accommodated at Rekreačné zariadenie Bojnice – Nad Zámkom Rekreačná in rooms for 2 - 4 people. All rooms are with separate bathrooms.
