ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΤΟΥ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ
8 European Youth organizations aim to create a sharing and reflecting space for 48 youngsters about European cultural heritage and to encourage them to promote it through backpack journalism and digital tools. Journalism is a way of discovering realities and traditions of a country or a community, enabling the dialogue between different generations.
48 youngsters will become aware how local and European cultural heritage looks, sounds, taste like, and discover the stories worth written, recorded, photographed using backpack journalism. In national groups they will create each 1 digital map with the “local cultural gems”.
Αfter the mobility each team will organize local #Heritage InstaMeet in their hometown and launch 1 European awareness campaign “#DiscoverYourRoots” on social media to encourage young people to take action, understand the potential of cultural heritage.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
The arrival day to Cluj-Napoca is April 3, 2022, maximum at 18:00 in the evening! If for some reasons you cannot find tickets with morning or after-noon arrival time please email us and we will find a solution for you! The arrival hour is set this way because we need to leave for Poiana Negrii in the evening and will have a night travel, possibly arriving on April 1st after midnight! You can also arrive 1 or 2 days earlier to visit Cluj-Napoca, on your own expense.
We will depart back to Cluj-Napoca on 12th April around midnight, so make sure you have flights that leave not earlier than 6:00 a.m. on 13th April, because we will again have a nigh travel in order to reach Cluj-Napoca in the morning of 13th April! You can also stay in Cluj-Napoca 1-2 days later and visit, on your own expense.
THE LOCATION
We chose a typical mountain guesthouse that is close to nature, but also benefits fully from the comfort of modern life. Here are links to the website and Facebook page of the guesthouse:
We will be in the middle of the Romanian mountains in a place that serves traditional Romanian food. For vegetarians/vegans might be hard to adapt because here most meals contain meat and cheese products. We will surely have vegetarian/vegan option, but please come with an open mind because you may need to eat a lot of potatoes, bread and polenta ☺ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polenta).
😷 IMPORTANT!
* Participants need to have a valid certificate of vaccination or recovery.
