The Youth
Exchange "Get Up! Start Up!" will gather 35 participants from 5 European countries (6 participants age 18-30
years old and 1 team leader without age limit per organization): Greece, Portugal, Italy, Romania and
Turkey. It will take place in Athens from 13 to 21st April, 2018 and it
will cover a variety of topics which link to: youth unemployment,
entrepreneurial learning - entrepreneurship education, improving digital
skills.
During the
Youth Exchange, participants will gain knowledge about the concept of
entrepreneurship and sustainable development. The Youth Exchange will be built
on the principles of non-formal education applied in the project activities
through creative and practical workshops and will therefore carry an in-built
component of intercultural learning and active participation.
The aim of
the project is to empower youth through non-formal learning (NFL) with quality
entrepreneurial education and learning, in order to address change in young
mind-sets and to inspire a new set of values inclined towards risk taking,
venture creation and self-development. All activities will be based on non-formal
learning.
The methodology implemented
during all activities will be a combination of:
- Learning to play, play to learn: learning through games, actions and playful environment.
- Practicing digital skills: having youth as digital content creators.
In the end of the exchange participants are
expected to be aware of different entrepreneurial schemes in Europe and know a
little bit more about the opportunities they have for starting a business. They
will become well informed as they will undergo an extensive workshop cycle of
the entrepreneurial world and its opportunities; they are expected to drive the
change towards youth entrepreneurship and inclusion to our societies.
Furthermore, they will become more ready to develop projects connected to
entrepreneurship and mobility of young people.
The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of European Union.
